Customizing and adding your Bitmoji to your Virtual Classroom 2/6
If you read my last blog post in this series you have already learned how set up and design your Bitmoji Virtual Classroom. This post is the 2nd in my Bitmoji Virtual Classroom series and is all about creating and adding your virtual Bitmoji into your classroom. If you are already familiar with how to do this you may want to move on to the next post in this series. I have them all posted and linked at the bottom of this page.
The first thing you need to do is download the Bitmoji App to your phone. Here is the Apple Store Link, and here is the Google Play Store Link. Once the app is loaded it will take you through a series of tasks to make your custom bitmoji. You can change all of the features after you create it if you decide to cut your hair or get a new pair of glasses. I spend most of the time changing my Bitmoji's hair and outfits to fit my classroom. You can only customize your Bitmoji from your phone app. You are able to search for poses and save them to your phone or drive to use. Most of the time when you do that, the white background will save with it the Bitmoji image and then you have to take the extra step of removing the background.
There are so many fun poses you can use to incorporate meaning or humor in your Bitmoji classroom or document. I have found that for some reason there are poses on the phone app that are not found in the chrome extension. In those cases, I have to save and remove the background of the picture. If you follow the facebook group you will be in awe of the things people create for their classrooms using Bitmoji's. I have seen stickers, Infographics, post cards, "flat" Teachers, I spy's, Vocabulary Word Walls, etc. Such a wonderful source of creativity.
